Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. LittleDay has no sign-in and never asks for an email address. Open it and it works.
Does it work without a signal?
Yes, completely. All 121 activities are included inside the app. The only optional online parts are the weather check and finding nearby playgrounds, and both are triggered by a tap.
What ages is it for?
Roughly one to four years old. Activities are filtered by your child's age, so a fourteen-month-old and a three-and-a-half-year-old see different things.
Why does it keep suggesting the same activity?
Because it worked. Anything you have marked as loved more than once becomes a "reliable winner" and carries a lighter repetition penalty — toddlers ask for the same thing eleven days running. Tap "Give me another" to move past it, or mark it "not today" and it will step back on its own.
I said no mess and it suggested painting.
That shouldn't happen — mess tolerance is one of the few filters that is never relaxed. Please email me the activity name and what your tolerance is set to, and I'll fix the activity's rating.
How do I delete what the app has learned?
Open Child → Privacy. "Forget what LittleDay has learned" clears the activity history while keeping your children and preferences. "Delete everything" removes the lot. Deleting the app also removes all of it, since none of it exists anywhere else.
Can I use it on more than one device, or share it with my partner?
Not in version 1.0. Everything lives on one phone by design. Syncing between devices is the most requested thing so far and is being looked at for a later version.
Why is it asking for my location?
Only when you tap something that needs it: finding playgrounds nearby, or checking the weather before suggesting outdoor play. It is used once, at reduced accuracy, and is never stored. Declining is fine — everything else carries on working.
Nothing happens when I ask Siri.
Siri phrases need the app name in them, for example "I need fifteen minutes in LittleDay" or "LittleDay, no mess idea". You can also add the shortcuts to your Home Screen from the Shortcuts app.
Reporting a problem
If you email about a bug, these three things make it much faster to fix:
- What you tapped, and what happened instead of what you expected
- Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
- A screenshot, if there was something on screen worth seeing
Suggesting an activity
The catalogue is hand-written, and the best additions come from parents who found something that actually worked. Send the idea, roughly what age it suits, what it needs from around the house, and how much mess it makes.
